The Macchia Romana Park operation is an urban reconversion that consists in the construction of a park of about 3,000 square metres to serve an allotment under completion. The construction of the park is part of the urbanisation works serving the Macchia Romana residential district in Potenza.

The park is designed to serve the families living in the adjacent complexes and includes, in addition to the landscaping, areas dedicated to motor activities, children's games and dog-friendly areas.

A green lung that, thanks also to the planned pedestrian connection, will become an integral part of the Macchia Romana district, one of the most important residential areas of the city, located near the San Carlo Hospital and the University of Potenza. 

The contract has a total value of EUR 1,051,605.29 and includes all the urbanisation activities of the area including the connections to

  • electricity network
  • gas network
  • telephone network
  • sewerage
  • public lighting. 

The project was approved by the Municipality with resolution 106 of 22/12/2011, within the area called C5/C6 of the P.R.G. of the Municipality of Potenza. 

The transaction is secured by a personal surety of the partners.  

Borrower information

Immobiliare Madrò S.r.l. is part of the Marella entrepreneurial group, headed by Francesco Marella, a graduate in construction engineering, representing the third generation in the real estate and construction industry. During his career, he has also held the following roles: CEO and chairman in the board of directors of Nova RE S.p.A. a real estate company listed on the Milan Stock Exchange. Deputy Chairman of Meridie S.p.A, an investment company listed on the Milan Stock Exchange. Board member of Ream SGR. Managing Director of the family company active in the construction of public infrastructure (motorways and railways).

In particular in real estate development among the group's most important projects:

  • Construction of residential and office complexes in Potenza for a development of about 13,000 sqm (revenues of about Euro 25 Mln);
  • Renovation and sale of residential and office complexes in Ferrara 11,000 sqm;
  • Development and sale of tourist complexes in Val di Fassa for 7,000 sqm.
