Description

A vegetable farm has been established in Šakiai district. Since 2021 the farm has been growing potatoes, carrots, other vegetables and some wheat and barley.

The farmer uses a tractor, a potato harvester, a sowing machine, a trailer and other implements purchased under an NMA project.

The farmer is currently seeking a loan of EUR 14 000 for turnover, which will be used for the purchase of machinery.

The farmer is currently using 19,88 ha of rented land, but plans to buy his own land next year, thus expanding the farm to at least 50 ha.
